LICENCES

Filming licence will cost US$ 60 for documentaries and short films and stills and US$ 180 for full length movies with a daily filming fee of US$ 12. Each of the foreign crew members will pay US$ 300 for a work permit. Roma will handle all these licensing requirements on behalf of the client.

EQUIPMENT

An import fee of 1% of the value of imported items or US$ 360 whichever is less is levied per container load. Our clearing agent facilitates import clearance of the equipment at a reasonable fee. Lighting and grip equipment are available locally and Roma will source them per client requirement.

VISA

Visa fee of US$ 25 is payable either on departure from one's country or on arrival in Kenya depending on country of origin. Yellow fever and Malaria vaccinations are mandatory requirements for visitors to Kenya

ACCOMODATION AND CATERING

Accommodation depending on preferences and budget is available. City centre 5 star hotels range from US$ 300-500 per night, 4 star between US$ 150-300 per night while 3 star range between US$ 100-200 per night. For longer shoots furnished apartments would be more economical as opposed to hotels. On shoots out of town outside caterers will provide meals and snacks to clients' requirements.

TRANSPORT

Nine seater vans at a daily rate of US$ 140 and VIP SUV 4x4 at a daily rate of US$ 250 are available. Luxury 25 seater buses will cost US$ 350 per day.

1. Synopsis of the film to enable us send pictures of proposed locations
2. Will you come with your camera crew or should we source locally?
3. Casting brief for required cast
4. List of required lighting equipment and grips

The XYZ Show is Africa's hilariously original political satire created by renowned Kenyan artist Godfrey Mwampembwa a.k.a GADO and produced by Buni Ltd. The show runs on Monday’s on Citizen Tv after the 9pm news. The show has large audience because the creators are not afraid to poke fun at the politicians and all their politicking. Roma and XYZ have partnered to air some of the clips on the buses. The response has been overwhelming.
